Description
 
BFL is looking for a part time Office Assistant reporting to Manager Logistics and Office Services. They will be on a 1 year contract and working 3 days a week.                     
 
Work Environment
Candidates must provide efficient and accurate assistance to the Office Manager and the Office Services team in a manner to maintain a high level of service and professionalism.
 
We are looking for candidates who have:
 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Publisher and Adobe Illustrator (asset)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management
  • Ability to communicate well with employees throughout the organization
 
In addition, candidates must:
 
  • Post-secondary education in office administration (asset)
  • 2-3 years reception experience
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism
 
Some of the main duties and responsibilities include:
 
  • Back up receptionist
  • Prepare and send Canada Post mail and Insurance Courier mail
  • Assist with Office Moves (physical work is required)
  • Responsible for “Dead” filing system and corresponding with Iron Mountain
  • Scanning documents for electronic filing and archiving
  • Stocking the printing stations
  • Ensure office, kitchen, bathroom supplies are maintained
  • Basic tool knowledge (asset)
